I'm taking advantage of Cadillac's $100-gift-card-with-test-drive deal today.
Looks like I'll get to test drive a 2014 ATS with a manual transmission! I can't wait. :) I'll try to take some pictures and write something up for your enjoyment.

I almost drove one of these (as a serious contemplation of buying an ATS with manual trans). The one thing that stopped me was I did not fit in the back. My head hit and my knees were squished, so I told the salesman no go and that was that. I never drove it but have wondered how it rode (even though its essentially useless to me).

How big are you? The ATS is a contender for my next car, but if the father in law is going to have a hard time sitting in it, that may be a deal breaker. He's 6'2 and about 280 I think

Im 6' even. Once I was in the seat (after bumping my head on the door frame and sliding down the bolster) my head was almost touching the roof and my knees were pushing the driver seat back (after it had been adjusted to my seating position).

You should look at a 2008-2011 CTS with the 6MT and 3.6. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a larger ATS.

This may be a dumb question, but what did you bring for proof of ownership of your current car? I want to do this since I have some time off now, but I'm unsure of what I should bring with me.

They didn't actually require me to provide proof of ownership. I just gave them my VIN off the car, and that was enough.
Allegedly. We'll see if I get that gift card in the mail in a few weeks.

I thought it was a great car for a 4 door sedan. Comfortable. Quick. Nice gearbox.
Very nice. Not worth a write up for me. I wasn't THAT impressed.

Shit, I was hoping for a more radiant review. Just got my test drive setup for 10 tomorrow. My body is ready for goodness but not greatness.
